Wedding in the hills of Malaga, Villa Bermeja // Chloe & Jordan

Welcome to a documentary style wedding photography day celebrated in a beautiful Villa Bermeja in Casares

We had the most beautiful drive to the venue, in between the hills of the Andalusian countryside. After some great views we arrived to Villa Bermeja, which was an amazing venue for weddings with the loveliest garden around. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the hard working groom carrying chairs outside. The groom Jordan said ’’I’m almost ready, just helping out here you know!’’ and when I told the bride Chloe, she was not surprised and told me he is always helping out everyone!

As a storytelling photographer I just love to see how the couple reacts to each other, has fun together and just looks at each other like they are the luckiest people in the world. After meeting Chloe and Jordan on our video call, I knew I would get to capture exactly that.

Right after the ceremony we got a little time for our portrait session and walked just on the edge of the beautiful countryside venue!

For Chloe and Jordan I really wanted to capture their love for each other and the playful part of the relationship. I can see from them how much fun they have together and they really enjoy each others company. As a documentary style photographer that is one of the most beautiful things to capture and when it comes as naturally as for these two, I’m really just letting them do their thing and documenting the lovely moments just as they are!

Then it was time to get ready for the day and the make up was still going to take a little while so we went outside to look for the perfect portrait spots and there was so many to choose from! The garden in Villa Bermeja was just absolutely beautiful, green and full of flowers and palm trees. As a documentary style wedding photographer I love to see such effort put in the up keeping of the whole venue for me to capture the couple in action in each corner of the venue! Me and Aroha also took the first drone footage of this foresty celebration place and were so happy we got to document the day there.

The make up was getting fishished and the bride Chloe was so beautiful and surrounded by her friends and family. We got to take such cute getting ready pictures for her to remember the start of her wedding day. I just knew it was going to be such a lovely day for these two! One of my favourite photos is the first look with her mum and dad, I just love these honest moments and reactions and I love capturing that.

And then it was time for the grooms side. We went to visit the guys and of course a bottle of whisky was cracked open and the group of grooms men were enjoying the drink in the morning sunshine. What a way to start your wedding day!

The whole day was a blast, the guests started to arrive, and soon was time for the beautiful ceremony. Just in the backyard of Villa Bermeja in Casares they had planned the most beautiful and intimate ceremony under the trees. The moment of Chloe walking down with her dad and Jordan seeing her for the first time was just so beautiful and I was so close to cry behind my camera too.

It was such a lovely ceremony and I loved to see all the guest celebrating with the couple! After that was of course one of my favourite parts, the wedding portrait shoot. The Andalusian country side was offering such a beautiful scenery for the wedding photos, so I really couldn't complain! I shot everything with my Canon 35mm 1.4 lens which was just magic for capturing the portraits in the afternoon sun. Forever to this day these are one of my favourite wedding photos and I’m just so grateful for both Chloe and Jordan for choosing us to capture their magical day. I loved to document the genuine connection and the way they have so much fun together. We just went on a little afternoon walk together and created some beautiful memories for my couple to look back to.

Then it was time for the party! Mr and mrs Guy! It was such a lovely cake cutting in the garden followed by the first dance only a couple of meters away since the dance floor was set up in the garden as well. The sun was setting perfectly while the couple was dancing with their friends and family.

Now thank for Chloe and Jordan for choosing us to capture the moments of this beautiful day and to tell a little part of your love story! Thank you Aroha for capturing such nice highlights with her documentary style wedding videography and thank you for the beautiful wedding venue at Villa Bermeja for creating such a beautiful place and atmosphere to celebrate the wedding!

The end!
