Xander & Rosie
wedding full of style and rural landscapes
The wedding at Finca La Gloria promised something entirely unique, a day that would feel editorial, effortlessly stylish, and completely true to the couple. From our first conversations, I knew this would be a celebration that balanced elegance combining sophistication with a modern, personal touch. Their style was playful, fashion-forward and above all, completely theirs.
As I arrived, the calm of the Andalusian countryside welcomed me. The bride Rosie was literally shining of happiness, fully present and effortlessly glowing, while the groom’s carefully curated details and relaxed energy hinted at the day ahead: moments that would be candid, intimate, and timeless. The soft southern light, rolling hills, and open skies created a stunning backdrop for a wedding that felt editorial, elegant, deeply personal and documentary all at the same time, a story of this London based couple told through light, connection, and style.
The morning unfolded and the sun was shining. The bride radiated calm, her natural makeup enhancing her features while staying completely true to herself. Each dress, shoe, and accessory was thoughtfully chosen, reflecting her unique style. We had so much fun taking her bridal photos and ended up taking a few shots with a moterbike too! Love!
Meanwhile, the groom’s energy was playful yet refined. His 24-hour Paris trip to pick up a suit paid off in a fashion-forward, timeless look, perfectly in tune with the warm, earthy tones of the countryside. With friends joking, playing chess and pool, and pouring whiskey, these moments felt candid, documentary, and deeply personal, a reflection of their style and personalities.
The ceremony took place under the October sun, surrounded by olive branches and the natural landscapes of the finca, with nothing over the top just the couple, their friends, family, and the beautiful countryside. The bride walked down the aisle with her dad, and the groom couldn’t hold back a tear , it was such a real moment. Their close friend officiated, keeping it funny and full of personality, and you could see everyone laughing, wiping tears, and celebrating just how perfect they are together. Friends and family were all around, wearing bright, colorful outfits that somehow felt like they belonged perfectly with the light, the trees, and the vibe of the day.
After the ceremony we kept the portrait session brief and intentional, allowing the couple to quickly transition into the celebration and truly enjoy the company of their guests. Each shot tells the story of a day that was effortless, stylish, and full of life. I absolutely loved incorporating the beautiful finca in to our shots, magazine cover material for sure!
Laughter, champagne towers, and natural blooms created an effortless atmosphere. Minimal styling let the surroundings and the energy of the day shine, elegant but approachable, personal yet polished. Beautiful work from Koinai Events - wedding planning.
Each hug and shared glance felt timeless and deeply connected to what the day was all about. Sharing the most memorable moments with their people and experiencing it all together in a beautiful space.
Dinner was filled speeches, the setting sun and conversations. Smoke from the open fire drifted through golden evening light as wine was poured. During the speeches, the funniest stories were told, met with laughter that revealed just how deeply loved the couple is by the people around them. The atmosphere felt so welcoming, and full of genuine joy.
Later, the couple stepped away for sunset portraits on the lawns, sharing a quiet glass of wine as newlyweds. These moments felt magical and like the time had stopped for us to enjoy the last rays of sunshine. Blending documentary storytelling with an editorial eye, each image reflects a wedding day well lived.
As night fell, the bride changed into a sparkling dress, and the courtyard came alive. Friends took over the DJ booth, and so the party started. Music echoed through the finca as guests danced around the fountain, laughter carrying beneath a sky full of stars.
This was a group that truly knew how to celebrate. The party reflected the couple’s personal style & close friendships.
It felt less like documenting a wedding and more like being part of a circle of friends, celebrating a couple whose presence brought everyone together and turned the night into something truly unforgettable.
