CITY & BEACH ELOPEMENT // Malaga, Spain
A beautiful Malaga elopement with a mix of city scenery and sea breeze! We organised such a cute elopement experience in Malaga and Nerja for our beautiful couple a week ago to start our wedding season! The weather was absolutely stunning and we were so excited to take Martyna and Andres on an adventure with us!
When the couple reached out to us for creating a special day for them they told us they had been looking in different countries and didn’t really mind where in the South of Europe as long as the photos would tell their story in a more candid and “real” way. I’m so happy we connected and we got to create something special for these two. We knew already that Martyna and Andres loved hanging out together, sharing wine, drinking coffee, playing board games and adventuring! We wanted their elopement really to represent them as a couple and as a wedding photographers, for us it’s important to stay authentic to the story so we incorporated their favourite things to do in their day with us. With the documentary wedding photography we love to just capture what is happening and the real moments of the elopement experiences are so beautiful so it was a blast capturing these two running around Malaga city center and driving them to one of our favourite beaches in Nerja for the sunset.
The day started with the first look in their hotel in Malaga and continued with a city walk with sharing coffee & wine and enjoying the vibrant city of Andalucía. After that we jumped to the car, put their favourite playlist on and headed to the stunning cliff on the coast of Nerja where they shared their wedding vows. Malaga offers such scenic nature just an hour a way from the city, it’s a real dream for an elopement photographer! I love the mix of the calm nature and national parks and the busy cities. After the emotional vow reading we headed to one of the most beautiful beaches in Andalucía. When we arrived to watch the sunset we were totally alone and the only thing you could hear was the sea. After popping open the champagne bottle as they had told us they loved board games, they had taken their travel scrabble with them and had a game in the sunset. It was STUNNING!
We absolutely love creating these days for our couples and the best thing is that they just get to be themselves and not worry about anything or anyone else. Imagine shqring a fully planned day of your favourite things with your partner and not ones look at the time to know if you should be somewhere. It was magical capturing these two having so much fun and showing the city but also the more rural countryside of Spain.
